Now is the time to act
We have reached the point of no return in the fight against climate change.
The over-exploitation of the planet’s resources through the way we consume food and products needs to change. We believe that through bringing about systemic change right across our supply chains, through working collaboratively, we can keep 1.5 degrees alive and put net zero within reach.
- 45% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions can only be tackled by changing the way we make and consume products and food.
- 30% of global GHG emissions comes from food production.
- 8% of global GHG emissions comes from textiles.
- 3% of global GHG emissions comes from plastic packaging.
Better resource use provides social, economic, and environmental benefits. Between now and 2050, reductions could be as much as 2 billion tonnes savings. We believe the focus should be on reducing consumption emissions as well as reducing territorial emissions.
