Rachel Crossley

Head of Stewardship, Europe, BNP Paribas

Rachel is based in London as Head of Stewardship for Europe for BNPP Asset Management. BNPP AM is one of Europe’s largest asset managers, with over €600 billion in assets under management (as at end September 2025). She has spent her whole career of more than 30 years working to advance sustainable finance and investment.

Her role encompasses engaging with European companies to drive better policy, practice and disclosure on many sustainability issues, with food system transformation being a passion and a priority. She also votes at hundreds of companies’ annual meetings a year, applying BNPPAM’s strict voting policy that requires companies to incorporate environmental and social issues into their governance practices. In order to address the many global systemic risks that investors now face, including but not limited to climate change, nature loss and inequality, she also participates in initiatives designed to encourage policymakers to adopt laws, regulations and standards to deliver sustainable and equitable economies.

Rachel represents BNPP AM in several key investor networks; in relation to the food sector these include the ATNi Investors in Nutrition and Health (AINH), ATNi’s Expert Group, FAIRR and the UK Food Foundation’s Investor Coalition on Food Policy.
