Dave Tickner is Chief Adviser, Rivers & Water at WWF-UK. He advises conservation programmes internationally, engages governments and companies on water-related issues, and directs research into global freshwater solutions.
He began his career in the UK’s environment ministry and has since spent more than two decades with WWF working at the intersection of water security, climate change and biodiversity conservation in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. He has also held board and advisory roles in government, charities, the private sector and academia. Dave holds a PhD in freshwater sciences and has published widely in scientific and popular media.
